Advanced Practice Provider

Anchorage Neurosurgical Associates is seeking advanced practice providers (Physician Assistant).

Full time position for neurosurgical group.  Employment options for 1) clinic-only or 2) clinic/inpatient/surgical environment.

The advanced practice providers work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals providing care to patients in both clinic and hospital settings.

Full-time: Monday-Friday

Clinic/inpatient/surgical position includes call requirements including rotating night and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality care
• Obtain appropriate patient history
• Perform focused and complete physical examinations
• Assist in perioperative care of patients
• Assist in the operating room
• Evaluate findings from diagnostic tests and make appropriate diagnosis
• Initiating appropriate referrals to other physicians or specialty care providers when needed

Requirements:

• PA
  • Current PA certification by the NCCPA
  • Alaska State Physician Assistant license or eligibility
• Current DEA certification or eligibility
• Must be able to be credentialed by ASC & hospitals
